Facilities and capacity
The West Drawing Room, added in Edwardian times when architect Sir Robert Lorimer was commissioned to restore the castle, reminds one of the greatness of this mediaeval castle. As you enter the room your attention will be drawn to the views from the immense bow window overlooking the south east coast. Its wood panelling and a stone fireplace gives this space a dominant yet welcoming ambience. About 80 guests can be seated here.
The Great Hall, with panelled walls, wooden roof beams and gothic arched windows, makes you imagine hearing the lively talk, clank of goblets and music of bygone feasts. This room is perfect for larger civil wedding parties by seating up to 120 guests.
